Fireworks.....Arkansas Style

I've been seeing a lot of fireworks tents lately, and a lot of them have these large, inflatable gorillas that, for whatever reason, have come to represent fireworks and the Fourth of July. Or, is it something else?

Riding Lesson

This morning was my wife's riding lesson, so my daughter and I tagged along.

Lake Bella Vista

We visited Lake Bella Vista yesterday, which has a 1.8 mile path winding around it and is a great place to take a walk.

Barbarian was a Fence Jumper

I apologize for the lack of posts these days, but, as one can imagine, life here in Bentonville can get quite hectic and I haven't had time to work on the blog. Anyway, about a month ago my wife's co-worker, Ard (http://www.allbookstores.com/author/Ard_Hoyt.html), brought me to his property to see a recently born calf and to feed his cows. The skull in the first picture belonged to Barbarian, a Texas Longhorn and a "real handful" for a new cattleman. Below is a picture of Old Mother cow, Hester, and her new bull calf, Painted Eagle.
